It's a fabulous concept: Professional pampering that won't tax your budget. In fact, this year Spa Week is timed perfectly. It runs from April 13th–19th, 2009, which means you can file your taxes, then head straight to the spa to work out any IRS-related stress.

Why the urgency? Well, during that week, hundreds of spas around the nation will be offering delectable treatments—facials, massages, scrubs—all at specially discounted rates of $50 a pop. So far, day spas in nineteen states (and Canada) are participating.

An FYI to any brides-to-be: There's a special section devoted to anyone about to walk down the aisle. Since I'm saying "I Do" in less than six months, you can bet your candied almonds I'll be snapping up as many beautifying treatments as my wallet can handle.
